Assistant Structural Engineer
Job Summary
Work Location: Banasree, Dhaka
Office Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Design residential wood-framed structures according to USA and UK building standards.
Perform structural analysis and calculations for residential projects.
Design and detail:
Foundations
Footings
Slabs
Beams
Headers
Columns
Floor Framing
Roof Framing
Wall Framing
Shear Walls
Braced Wall Panels
Roof Trusses
Deck Structures
Porch Structures
Prepare complete permit-ready structural drawing sets.
Create structural calculation reports for permit submission.
Review architectural drawings and coordinate structural design accordingly.
Design structural systems for:
New Residential Buildings
Home Additions
ADUs
Basement Conversions
Garage Conversions
Decks & Patios
Coordinate with architectural designers during project development.
Revise drawings based on city comments or plan reviewer comments.
Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes.
Deliver projects within deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience Requirement
Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience.
Experience with USA and/or UK residential projects.
Strong understanding of residential wood framing.
Ability to independently complete structural design from architectural plans.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good English communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Reliable internet connection and computer.
