Technical Copywriter
Job Summary
We're looking for a Technical Copywriter who can turn complex software into clear, compelling content. You'll start on a current product initiative and move across upcoming projects as our portfolio grows.
This role sits at the intersection of technical understanding and user empathy. You won't just write - you'll research how users think, study what competitors and industry leaders are doing, and understand the product deeply before putting a single word down. A marketing instinct helps, but it's the mix that matters: technical fluency, user awareness, and sharp writing in one person.
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Required: 3+ years
Work Location: On-site
Reports to: Product Manager
Key Responsibilities
Write and maintain website copy - product pages, landing pages, and feature announcements
Craft UX copy and microcopy - button labels, error messages, empty states, onboarding flows, tooltips, and confirmation dialogs
Write headlines and value propositions that capture attention and convert
Produce technical documentation - API references, user guides, help-center articles, developer-facing docs, and internal process documentation
Research users - understand what they want, how they behave, and where they get stuck
Study the market - analyze how competitors and leading products write, then do it better
Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to deeply understand features before writing
Maintain a consistent voice, tone, and terminology across all products
Adapt content for an international, global audience
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
Experience with marketplace, fintech, or SaaS products
Familiarity with Markdown, Git, Figma, or modern documentation platforms
Understanding of SEO and content optimization
Experience writing for international/global audiences
Experience Requirement
3+ years of experience in technical writing, UX writing, and/or technical copywriting
A technical background is mandatory - you understand software development processes, system workflows, and product architecture well enough to document them accurately. A CS/Engineering degree, prior developer experience, or substantial hands-on work with software products is required.
Key Competencies
A mix of skills: technical fluency, user research instinct, and strong writing - not pure marketing copywriting
Ability to research users and study competitor/industry content to inform what you write
Proven portfolio of technical documentation and/or UX copy
Excellent, precise English writing skills - clear, concise, grammatically flawless
Ability to interview engineers and translate jargon into plain language
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Comfortable juggling multiple projects and shifting priorities
You're equally comfortable explaining a complex backend process to a developer and writing a three-word button label that just works. Before you write, you ask two questions: "How does this actually function?" and "What does the user actually need here?" You research, you study what's out there - and you care that every word is true.
How to Apply
Submit your CV/resume along with a portfolio or writing samples (technical documentation and UX copy preferred) to [email/application link].
Applications without writing samples may not be considered.
