Job Summary
Join Venture AI is looking for a talented Shopify Developer to join our growing team for a high-impact eCommerce project. This is not a basic theme-editing role — we need someone who can build custom Shopify stores, optimize performance, and develop scalable functionality using Liquid, custom apps, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and customize Shopify stores from Figma/XD designs
- Develop custom sections, templates, and theme features using Shopify Liquid
- Implement responsive, pixel-perfect UI with modern animations
- Integrate Shopify Apps, APIs, and third-party services
- Configure Shopify settings, navigation, metafields, and CMS content
- Develop and optimize checkout flows (Shopify Plus optional)
- Troubleshoot theme issues, debug performance problems, and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and conversion rate (CRO)
- Collaborate with design, backend, and AI development teams
- Maintain clean theme structure and reusable code components
Experience Requirement
- Experience building custom Shopify apps (Node.js/React optional)
- Knowledge of GSAP, Lottie, or advanced animation frameworks
- Familiarity with Headless Shopify using Hydrogen/Remix
- Experience working with AI tools or the OpenAI API
- Understanding of UX/UI principles & accessibility standards
Key Competencies
- Proven experience building custom Shopify stores (not just editing themes)
- Strong skills in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with Shopify 2.0 (Custom Sections, Metafields, JSON templates)
- Familiarity with custom API integrations and automation tools (Zapier/Make)
- Experience with Shopify Apps (Klaviyo, Recharge, PageFly, Judge.me, etc.)
- Ability to work from Figma/XD with high accuracy
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and performance optimization
- Attention to detail, creativity, and excellent teamwork
